Shannon Tara Kalić (she/her) is a Métis artist, workshop facilitator, and anti-racism educator from Winnipeg. She is from the Champagne and Legal families, and has French, Ukrainian, and Polish heritage as well. Shannon has been beading and creating with fur and leather since 2016, and started her business, Waabishki Miigwan Creations, in January 2021. With experience leading programming since 2008 and a Master of Museum Education, Shannon is passionate about facilitating workshops and sharing her joy of beadwork (as well as Métis culture and anti-racism).
