Metis Branded (Casandra Woolover) – Hide Vest with Coyote Fur

Métis Branded is a Red River Métis owned business located in Winnipeg. It is run by Casandra Woolever, who has put her spin on the famous Métis Capote, that was used mostly during the days of the fur trade. Casandra finds joy in reconnecting to her culture by reusing vintage wool blankets and other repurposed materials such as fur, Ribbon skirts, and sashes, to recreate fashion and/or art with a Métis spin on it. Métis Branded is more than just a brand name, it’s a community, a journey that is shared by all nations. Casandra uses her platform to engage all nations to take part in collaborative photoshoot, fundraisers, classes and is an Artist Ambassador for Downie Wenjack.
