Mck Photography – “Aunt Mary’s Mansion” Print

Photographers: Oliver & Debra Mckay My photography journey began in 2008 when I purchased my first Nikon camera. It was instant! I could not capture the Manitoba Prairies and all the beauty fast enough, while also wanting to collect stories along the way.  Traveling the countryside, I was focused on capturing something unique and interesting. Most recently I was fortunate enough to visit Churchill Manitoba and photograph wildlife and landscapes there. It pleases me to know that people around the world are enjoying my Canadian art.  I refer to it as art and not just photographs as each print has my love, time and enjoyment within it. That to me spells ART. Some of my art has traveled the globe to Australia, Germany, England, USA and Nova Scotia. To have a piece, ‘yellow headed blackbirds’, awarded second place at a country fair was most rewarding! In my journey I have had the pleasure of spending time with 4H clubs, sharing basics of photography, camera care and motivating young ones to think about developing their own passion. Included in my portfolio is natural light work.  Getting the right light will give you a unique perspective and a beautiful piece of art.  The pleasure I take is in capturing beautiful flowers with macro lenses…. always learning. Oliver Mckay, my husband, joined the world of photography in 2015 at which time we created Mck Photography.  His love for birds and raptors grew instantly!  With his canon he patiently searches to capture the most amazing birds.  He has donated some very large, framed prints of the ever-beautiful Bald Eagle to Ducks Unlimited for their Gala Auctions. He also has sold to people as far away as Australia. The love story of Mck Photography continues!
