Carla Murray – Orange Yellow and White Hanging Earrings

Carla Murray (nee Moar) – Polymer Clay Artist Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I’ve been ‘crafty’ since childhood. I get the gene from my mom, as we made many things together over the years.  Always a jewellery lover, my creating started there… watching my mom create. I quickly signed us up for some basic classes so we could learn more and more techniques and mediums. A few years ago I tried Polymer Clay, and it has become my medium of choice. I love the versatility and many techniques you can create with it. Last year, I expanded from jewellery to create my Every Child Matters Christmas ornament collection, which gave me the opportunity to donate a portion of the proceeds back. My latest passion is one that combines my love of polymer clay with sentimentality. I re-create from photos, custom mini replicas of homes, businesses, landmarks, whatever. My customers display them on the wall in shadow boxes or as a tree ornament. I can see the memories fill their eyes when I unveil their custom pieces; their look of amazement and smile makes my heart full. Thanks, Carla
