About the Artist
Cynthia Sigurdson
Cynthia Sigurdson is a proud Metis, the hands behind Amma’s Needles. She grew up in Hnausa Manitoba, a community 20 minutes north of Gimli. The name Amma’s Needles was born out of the fact that most of the knitting needles that she uses have been inherited from her grandmothers and her own mother. Cynthia started knitting when she was 10 years of age and enjoys making Mitts, Scarves, Shawls, and sweaters.
