Terri is a Red River Métis born in Roblin, MB and grew up in Boggy Creek, MB. Terri’s parents are Prosper Henry and Clara (Poitras) Henry. Terri now lives in Roblin and is part of the Roblin Métis Local with the Northwest Métis Council.
Terri’s cousin, Yvette Bouvier, a Métis Elder, part of the Roblin Local, taught her how to loop sashes over 20 years ago. Along with looming, Terri learned how to weave sashes. Kalyn Kadick was the instructor who she learned from and has been doing it only for a few short years. Kaylyn is a Red River Métis citizen residing in Calgary. Terri also beads hat bands and pin sashes which was self-taught.
She takes pleasure in all that she does, as a retiree and thinks its an awesome hobby!
