Lil’ Métis Shop In The Prairies was inspired by owner Sabrina Bornkessel’s dream to be a businesswoman and artisan when she was growing up. Sparked by the craft shows she attended and her involvement with the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) and Friendship Centre in Swan River, Sabrina developed a dream of owning her own artisan business. Later on, she started working and volunteering for the MMF Southwest Region, which allowed her to reconnect with her Métis culture and revived her dream to start her own business.
