Randi began her beading journey in 2022 with her then 9-year-old daughter, Danika, as a way for them to connect with their Métis heritage. Their first project together, 5 petal Métis flowers, led them to quickly fall in love with beading, both enjoying the sense of calmness it brings.
Randi continues to learn different beading techniques and enjoys incorporating various materials and styles into her work. Recently Randi has started working with polymer clay, combining clay, antler and beading into unique jewelry pieces.
Randi shares her work online as Wild Oak Handcrafted, has begun facilitating beading workshops to share her knowledge and love of beading and is happy and proud to now share her work in the Red River Métis Marketplace.
