Mike Zastre

Mike ‘@iron_buddha’ Zastre is a Métis artist from Winnipeg who regularly interprets his nightly inter-dimensional missives into recognizable shapes, colours, and sometimes even sounds for all earthlings to enjoy.

His work involves the intersection of human consciousness and Interdimensional Mycelial Panspermia theory- that the literal fabric of our space and time (and therefore ourselves) are made up of the infinitesimally fine threads woven by the mycelial ‘roots’ of extradimensional fungi.

He uses mainly analog tools- a direct rebuttal to the slop era- to create interdisciplinary works in pen and ink, acrylic and acrylic inks, paper cutting and metal sculpture, and large scale Walkable Murals on pavement.

His aim is to question, entertain and provoke, always spreading the mycelial web further.
