Leslee Webb

Leslee Webb is a Mètis Artisan who loves to bead. Using the two-needle technique, she enjoys expressing her creativity as the Flower Beadwork People have for generations. Her great grandmother Louisa also enjoyed beading. Leslee is a clinical social worker in her work life but finds beading to be an enjoyable and therapeutic activity in her personal life. It helps her feel connected to her culture and ancestors. Once friends, family, and even strangers started seeing her creations, interest built from others to purchase the earrings she made. She has dabbled in other beading projects as well, such as framed beading on animal hides and beading a stole for her son’s graduation in May 2024.

Leslee is a proud Red River Mètis citizen who lives in Bismarck, North Dakota with her husband Travis, and children Hudson and Harper. She was born and raised in Winnipeg. She is the daughter of Red River Mètis citizen Kyle Webb, and granddaughter of WWII Mètis veteran Edwin Webb. She spent many summer days out in Grand Marais, Manitoba in the home that her great grandparents Louisa (nee Anderson) and William Webb built. Leslee is a descendent of several Mètis lines including the Anderson, Isbister, Thomas, Sinclair, Dutemps, and Parisien families.
