In 2020, during a lockdown, I started a dried floral business over Instagram, where I would make floral arrangements for homes, etc. That took off and went really well for a couple of years, but when that trend started to die down and I was seeing my sales plummet, I pivoted my business into women’s clothing. I opened up an online boutique and wholesaled clothing from across the United States and Europe, posting them on my website and shipping across Canada.
I then wanted to pivot again into something more unique and to call my own, so I now have my own clothing line and get items manufactured overseas and in Italy. I take joy in doing pop up markets around the city (third and bird, scattered seeds, etc.), and we also travel across Manitoba and Saskatchewan to attend markets there as well. After a year or so of doing my own clothing, I then decided I wanted to add a signature scent that went with the “vibe” of my shop. With that, came my original scent, called “golden hour”, which I launched in the spring of 2024.
The hype and popularity of my scent grew and grew, and I just knew I had to make a few more scents. So, with that, I launched two more. Now with over a year on working with perfumes and learning different mixing techniques etc. I can truly say I feel like I have found my calling.
I have a true love for perfume making, and make every scent myself from scratch. You may find they smell like familiar scents – I wanted to stick with smells that were familiar to people, scents I know people know and love; and that’s just what I did 🙂 They have been growing and growing in popularity and I would be so excited to see how they would do in the MMF shop!
