Haily has lived in Winnipeg and Parkland areas. She attended the University of Manitoba and attained a bachelor’s degree in science and nursing. She worked as a nurse for 20 years and raised 2 children with her husband in Winnipeg.
In February of 2021, Haily tragically lost her 16-year-old son to his battle with mental illness. This left Haily’s family reeling and Haily was unable to return to work, because of the trauma. She began painting, to help heal her and bring her son back to life in her mind. She started out drawing, and progressed to acrylic and water colour painting. As her skills grew, she ventured into oil paintings. Her subject matter was initially portraits of her son, which then progressed to nature inspired landscapes and animals.
Haily has showcased and sold some water colour prints at the The Color Orange, which was an art exhibit in the forest, at Pine Ridge Hollow, in September of 2023. She also participated in a few craft markets, including the Makers Faire, at the Forks and the Downtown Biz Market, at City Place. Upcoming shows include Cre8ery Gallery and the Garden and Art Shows.
