Dawn Coutu is a Red River Métis Woman from St. Laurent, MB. She has three children and six grandkids that are her world, and bring her so much love and joy!
Her journey with beading began when she was about 9 years old. Her older brother gave her a loom, and taught her how to bead. She loved it so much, but at the time, didn’t have the means to continue to buy the supplies. She picked it back up again in 1998. At that time, her children’s school invited her to come and teach the students how to bead.
Fast forward to 2023, she began beading again, and has been learning how to do many other beading stitches. She has created a few pieces with different stitches, and consistently thinks of other creations. She really enjoys beading and finds it very relaxing. All of her pieces are one-of-a-kind and handmade with love.
She is happy to share her journey with you!
