Hello, my name is Cody. I am Métisse and from Winnipeg. I am twenty years old and a student at the University of Manitoba. I have always enjoyed sewing and the creative freedom that comes along with it.

I have had the opportunity to learn to sew from many different sources such as my grandmother, school, as well as on my own. Today, I really enjoy using these skills to create pieces that combine European and Indigenous design elements, along with traditional Métisse elements in order to make something new and unique.

I also enjoy learning new languages and in particular, Michif and ᓀᐦᐃᔭᐍᐏᐣ (Y-dialect Cree) which I like to feature in my pieces as well.
