Brenda Lee (Gariepy) Hadland

I learned to knit, crochet and sew at an early age, from my German mother, and later incorporated Métis symbols and artistry in my creations. Most recently, I learned about ribbon skirts and the healing powers in the creation and wearing of them. My journey began into creating these lovely skirts and accessories.

My family consists of my husband of 36 years, 2 daughters and their partners and grand dogs and grand cats, and soon to be grand baby. I have passed along what I have been taught to my daughters and many others who have shown an interest. Fall time is when we, as a family, pick berries and harvest the things we need for the winter

My career in social work has spanned over 38 years, and I use my craft as a way to debrief from the stresses of work and as a creative outlet that helps to keep me grounded.

I hope you enjoy my creations and know that they are made with many good thoughts and prayers during their making.
