Shayre Cure

Shayre Cure is a Métis artist from Pine Falls, Manitoba, currently living in Anola. She works in tattooing, painting, beadwork, and drawing. Shayre has been creating for as long as she can remember, always drawn to art as a way to express herself. In her early twenties, she began tattooing, which allowed her to turn her passion for art into a career.

Her work is inspired by her children, her family, and her Métis culture. Shayre is especially drawn to symbolism and storytelling, often exploring Indigenous imagery and visual language in her work. Creating is a way for her to process life, honour where she comes from, and stay connected to her roots.

Through her art, Shayre hopes to share stories, express identity, and create work that carries meaning. She strives to make pieces that people can connect with while continuing to grow and evolve as an artist.
